Junction is a globally recognized hackathon that unites participants from various countries, allowing them to work on projects and develop new skills. In only 8 years, Junction has created a community of over 20 000 technological talents. Along the way, the partner companies have been introduced and connected to new talent and they have had the opportunity to build their own communities. Junction has accelerated to an access point for young technological talents from all around the world.
The first edition of Junction in Albania was organized in 2023, marking its first-ever presence in the Balkans, with Tirana as its host city. This event took place at the newly opened Pyramid of Tirana (making it the first tech event to open this venue).
JunctionX Tirana 2024: A Bigger and Even More Successful Event
The 2024 edition of Junction Hackathon saw significant growth and success. This year, the event was held at the Palace of Congresses in Tirana to accommodate a larger number of participants due to the high volume of applications. This year, the event expanded its reach to include seven nationalities (Albania, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Italy, Poland, Brazil and England).
